I took part in the Great North Run in September 2018. It was my first running event. Two weeks later I completed a half marathon in Dumfries, raising money for PID UK.

My son, Bailey, was diagnosed with Bruton’s agammaglobulinemia (also called X-linked agammaglobulinemia) at a young age. Present at birth (congenital), the condition is characterised by low or completely absent levels of immunoglobulins in the bloodstream. Bailey receives weekly treatment at home, which keeps him happy and healthy.

My goal for 2019 is to complete two full marathons (Edinburgh and Loch Ness) and hopefully raise more funds for PID UK in the process. If you would like to donate to my cause, then please visit https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/chad-krease
