First, there's no such thing as a stupid question
If you have concerns or questions, write them down, and, when appropriate, share them with your BMT team. Your BMT team will be a wide range of professionals including doctors, nurses, psychologists, social workers, and play specialists. who are all there to support you and your child.
Looking after yourself
Supporting a child through all the stages of a BMT can be very stressful and take an emotional toll. You may feel overwhelmed at times. Be kind to yourself. Think about your own needs and discuss with family or friends how you can best support each other through your child's BMT.
The specialist BMT services will have a clinical psychologist. They are there to offer you, your child and family members individual support and counselling while you consider BMT, both during and after the procedure. It is a long process, so this support is really important.
