We understand the challenges that come with transitioning a child from children’s to adult care services. That’s why we’re excited to announce an upcoming workshop designed to support parents and carers during this pivotal time.
“Managing Transition: A Survival Guide for Parents and Carers” will take place on Tuesday, June 25th, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM via Zoom. This small group session, facilitated by Rebecca Hargreaves, one of Rareminds’ Specialist Counsellors, will provide a safe and supportive environment to explore the emotional and practical aspects of this transition.
During the workshop, you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Share your thoughts, feelings, and fears with other parents and carers going through similar experiences.
- Learn about adolescent emotional development and effective communication strategies.
- Gain valuable insights and tips for preparing and navigating the change to adult care services.
Rebecca Hargreaves, MBACP (Accred.), brings over 20 years of experience working as a nurse, counsellor, and specialist on the psychological impact of health conditions on families. Her expertise will guide you through this journey.
Don’t miss this chance to connect, learn, and find support.
Spaces are limited, so reserve your spot today by emailing us at hello@immunodeficiencyuk.org.
