After hearing the positive impact on people who took part in our Immunodeficiency UK-funded workshop in March, we have the pleasure in announcing our second mindfulness course.

This 8-week mindfulness program, funded by Immunodeficiency UK, is designed specifically for individuals living with primary and secondary immunodeficiency, who may be struggling with pain, fatigue, or anxiety.

“Mindfulness for Pain, Fatigue and Anxiety” will be held weekly on Thursdays, from October 10th to November 28th, 2024, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, via Zoom.

Feedback from previous participants

“Fantastic course. Helped with many coping strategies and managing anxiety, fear of illness, fatigue and over doing things. Meditation is a wonderful thing I have discovered and the whole learning process was made so great by a fantastic teacher. I wish there were regular online meditation sessions our group could join and refresher courses by Stephen Smith too. Thank you so much for the opportunity to participate. Highly useful and effective. I hope it continues to be available to others.”

“I found the course really valuable; the teacher was very patient and knowledgeable, and it helped immensely to be in the room with other people with a similar condition to mine”

This interactive course, led by experienced RareMinds mindfulness practitioner Steve Smith, will be delivered in a friendly, supportive group environment with a maximum of 15 participants. You’ll receive in-depth and personalised teaching on mindfulness practices and techniques, including discussions, exercises, and support for your own practice.

To participate, you’ll need to commit to approximately 20 minutes of daily practice and purchase the Course Handbook (£10) from Amazon or other online retailers. Spaces are limited and you need to be committed to completing this Immunodeficiency UK funded course, which costs the charity approximately £225/person.
