During World Primary Immunodeficiency (PI) Week 2024, held from April 22nd to April 28th, Lead Nurse Mary Williamson and her dedicated team at Lloyds Pharmacy Clinical Homecare, pulled off an extraordinary fundraising feat. Their efforts raised over £630, including Gift Aid, helping Immunodeficiency UK support individuals affected by primary and secondary immunodeficiency.

The team at Lloyds Pharmacy Clinical Homecare recognised the importance of raising awareness and understanding about these rare and complex conditions.

To achieve this, they organised an educational and fundraising day on April 23rd, 2024, centred around “Immunoglobulins and the treatments for immunodeficiencies.”

The event kicked off with an “Immunoglobulin Lunch and Learn” session, where colleagues had the opportunity to gain valuable insights into the treatments and equipment used by patients managing immunodeficiency disorders. Interactive sessions allowed participants to engage directly with the subject and deepen their knowledge.

But the team didn’t stop there. Raffles and bake sales added an element of fun.

The funds raised will contribute to Immunodeficiency UK’s mission of providing vital support, resources, and advocacy for individuals living with primary and secondary immunodeficiencies. By increasing awareness and understanding of these conditions, Mary Williamson and her team have taken a meaningful step towards improving the lives of those affected.

Thanks so much to everyone at Lloyds Pharmacy Clinical Homecare.
