‘I completed the Yorkshire Marathon in October in a time of 3 hours 55 minutes. I spent the few months before it out running, but it was not enough and was a major mental and physical challenge on the day.
I ran for PID UK to raise money and awareness for primary immune conditions – as one of my oldest friends was diagnosed with CVID (common variable immune deficiency) last year.
I still wear my PID UK vest when I’m out training and having quickly forgotten the torture I have just signed up for the Leeds Triathlon next summer. I raised £453.84 in October and hope to raise more for the triathlon.’
